Cotton futures slipped to their lowest in over a week on Friday in lacklustre trading during an abbreviated session following the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. The March cotton contract on ICE Futures US fell about 1.5 percent this week, marking the biggest decline since the week ended November 4. The cotton market closed early at 1 pm ET (1800 GMT) on Friday.

Cotton futures remained nearly flat for the second straight session on Tuesday, ahead of the first notice day for the December contract and amid a steady dollar. The trade is buying the December contract and selling the March contract before the first notice day on Wednesday, said Jobe Moss, a broker with MCM Inc in Lubbock, Texas.
