Versace’s sister label Versus has revealed that it is teaming up with sportswear brand K-Way for its next collaborative collection. Following on from Versus’ collaboration with J.W. High street retailer Marks & Spencer has appointed Jo Jenkins, former Next executive, as its new director of lingerie and beauty.
Jenkins replaces Janie Schaffer, who departed the company last month after just three months in the role.
In her new role, Jenkins will form part of the General Merchandise leadership team, reporting directly to John Dixon, executive director of general merchandise.

Sri Lanka's Marxist party Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) says the apparel industry has experienced a massive downfall under the current government.

Almost half of all foreign investments approved by the Myanmar Investment Commission in the first four months of 2013 were in garment manufacturing, figures from the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (DICA) show.
The commission approved 33 proposed foreign investments totalling US$815 million from January 1 through to the end of April, said Daw San San Myint, a director at DICA, which processes commission decisions.
