EDANA, the International Association Serving the Nonwovens and Related Industries, has disclosed European annual statistics on nonwovens production and deliveries for 2012 during its recent Nonwoven Producers Forum.
Jacques Prigneaux, EDANA’s market analysis and economic affairs director, described the evolution by nonwovens process leading to an overall growth of 2.2% in production volume for 2012, despite an unfavorable macroeconomic context in Europe.

Net income for the quarter has risen by 6 percent compared to the prior year’s third quarter. Operating income was up 3 percent over the previous year’s quarter. Gross profit increased 8 percent. Export of Nepali readymade garments has observed a decline of 40 per cent. It has been observing a fall of around 40 per cent on average since the last three months, states the central bank statistics.
There was an average drop of 39.8 per cent in the first six months of the current fiscal year and the trend continued in the seventh and eighth months with a fall of 40 per cent and 36.9 per cent, respectively.
