The export of Pakistan's flag ship primary textile exports, bed wear, is constantly on decline owing to multiple causes, mainly crippling energy shortages, high rate of interest and imprudent government policies, value added textile industry sources told Business Recorder. They said that export of bed wear dropped quantity wise and value in dollar in September 2012 8 percent as compared to September of 2011.

Wool exporters say China is driving a lift in wool prices seen in recent weeks.
Wool Exporters Council president John Dawson says the strong wool market indicator, which covers most of the wool New Zealand trades, has lifted 10% - 20% from a low point, to almost $4 per kg.
But he says it's still well short of the prices cross-bred wool were fetching a year ago.

Lotte Pakistan PTA Ltd. (LOTPTA), the pure terephthalic acid producer whose shares have declined by a quarter this year, plans to spend as much as $20 million within the next two years on its plant to trim costs amid concerns annual profit will decline.
