Cotton futures snapped an eight-day losing streak on Tuesday, notching their biggest daily gains in nearly three months, as the recent drop in prices spurred buying after the US holiday weekend. "Demand is better than average, basis is tight, equities are selling well and spreads are inverting; the market is telling us that nearby supplies are tight," said Rogers Varner, president of Varner Brokerage in Cleveland, Mississippi.
