Brace yourself, ladies, because according to meteorologists, a huge chunk of the country will be experiencing yet another polar vortex (or, uh, really really big snowstorm) later this week.
How can this be? It's almost March, for goodness sake! Sigh.
If you're looking for a little bit of a morale booster to get you through the last few weeks of winter, why not try a fluffy, fuzzy pastel-y sweater. It's a super-soft, ultra-warm, and springlike transition piece that will take you right through t

Quick check of the weather outside and—yup—still pretty damn cold. While we shiver and wait for spring to finally make an appearance, at least we can continue playing with all the layering combinations possible. Hey, if anything, that's a consolation, right? So let's revisit the streets of Milan Fashion Week for some devastatingly chic ideas to pile on the fashion and stay warm.
Obviously recent style icon of the week and front-row fixture Miroslava Duma has a lockdown on the layering thing

Here's a straight-off-the-runway fall 2014 trend that we can definitely co-opt for our real-life wardrobes. Check out these two looks from Gucci's Milan Fashion Week show yesterday—and then let's all go pull our faded blue jeans out of our closets, shall we? Gucci showed its new ankle-length, washed and faded, slightly-tapered indigo jeans in two combos—with an ashy-blue double-breasted peacoat:

For Autumn/Winter 2014, Turkish designer Bora Aksu was inspired by his mother, her life as a teenager at board school, and used the letters she wrote to friends and her drawings as the starting point for his collection.
It was romantic, feminine, with a hint of nostalgia with the models strutting down the catwalk with ribboned plaits to showcase the schoolgirl within a 50s uniform shape of lace knee-length skirts, dainty jackets, peter pan collars and woven knits.

GUCCI AW14 Frida Giannini was rocking a 60s vibe at Gucci's catwalk show on the opening day Milan Fashion Week. Glamour came in the form of clean lines and a less fussy silhouette. Sure, there was the sexy undertone we've come to expect from Gucci, but it was less overt than the House's summer presentation.
Key pieces include peacoats and jackets with cigarette pants, A-line dresses and button downs. The knee high boots featured with the eveningwear sparked a Twitter frenzy post show.

#1) Knitted Vests
Paired with a matching scarf or fuzzy hat, the knitted vest was a key trend seen at Moda Women for Fall/Winter 2014-15. What better way to wrap up and stay warm for the coming the season than in a chunky knitted vest or cardigan, as seen here from Irelands Eye.
#2) The Quilted Vest/Jacket
Similar to its male counterpart, quilted jackets and vests were seen all over Moda Women at brands such as Brax Women, Toggi, Tayberry and Strawberry Bay. For a more polished looked,

For Autumn/Winter 2014, Christopher Kane has debut his first, fully realised leather good collection, expanding from his signature ‘Pencil Case’ clutch that he showcases each season.
